LEADERSHIP TEAM POSITIONS
Program Director
Program Director: oversees all of our summer staff, works closely with the camp director and group leaders on scheduling, helps facilitate high energy programming, main contact point for problem solving, able to speak confidently to large groups, cheerful and willing to create a great experience for our guests. This position requires at least 1 previous summer of experience. This position is a full summer commitment starting May 22 to August 5.
Food Services Assistant
Food Services Assistant: a behind the scenes position that oversees our program staff in set up and service of meals, works closely with our Food Services Director helping with food prep, directing meal time responsibilities, dishes, and kitchen cleanup. This position is a full summer commitment starting May 29 to August 5
Worship Leader
Worship Leader: confident in leading large group worship for 4 weeks during the summer, and small group worship for our summer staff team. Designs a worship set that is summer camp and multi denomination friendly. Leads and guides other summer staff as part of the worship band. Sets the pace in Spiritual leadership. Assists in other areas of camp as needed including meal service, snack bar, and activities, daily and end of week cleaning. This position is a full summer commitment starting May 29 to August 5.
Maintenance
Maintenance: has the ability to diagnose and solve daily maintenance issues including minor plumbing, minor construction repair, and electrical. Oversees our vehicles. Takes recycled cardboard once per week into town. Must be at least 21 years of age. This position is a full summer commitment starting May 29 to August 5.
Media Specialist
Media Specialist: is competent is either Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere, has excellent time management skills to produce a daily 3-5 minute highlight video for each evening and a 6-8 minute week in review video at the end of each camp session. This person is very active during parts of the day moving from activity area to activity area to get excellent and unique video. This person is able to tell “our story” through video, is competent to take still photos as needed for other projects. Can direct other summer staff in running media on Pro Presenter for worship lyrics and other programming. This position also serves up to 5 meals a week in our dining hall and assists with daily and end of week cleaning. This position is a full summer commitment starting May 29 to August 5.
PROGRAM STAFF POSITIONS
Wrangler
Wrangler: is confident in their ability to work with horses and students, likes to see the sun come up, works with a small team of likeminded individuals to make sure our guests have a great horse experience. Feeding, stall cleaning, guiding trail rides, and saddling are all part of your daily experience. Will rotate to help cover feeding on the the weekends. Assists to direct and execute our end of the week rodeo with our other program staff. This position is very physical and requires the ability to lift up to 65 pound bales of hay, saddles, and spend the day in various weather. All wranglers assist with daily and end of week cleaning. All wranglers assist serving up to 5 meals per week. This position has both full summer and half session positions. Rappelling Instructor
Rappelling Instructor: is confident in their ability to learn rope management, knots, and rescue techniques. Has the ability to keep calm as you guide students off of our 40 foot rappelling tower and 120′ rappelling rock. Setting up rappelling tower, filling out rope logs, equipment management and working with students for 4 hours are all part of your daily experience. This position is very physical and will require you to be able to climb 4 flights of stairs multiple times per day, carry 45 pound pack of gear to rock site, and spend the day in various weather. All Rappelling instructors assist with daily cleaning and end of week cleaning, serve up to 5 meals per week, and assist with student programming to create an incredible camp experience for our guests. You would arrive 1 week earlier for training than other positions. This position is a full summer commitment May 19 to August 5.
Ropes Specialist
Ropes Specialist: spends 4 hours of their day guiding our guests either belaying our 50 foot tall Alpine Tower Ropes Course or running our Three Person Giant swing. This person is willing to learn belaying techniques, group management, keeps accurate rope logs. Your daily job consists of set up, running activities for 4 hours, assisting with high energy student programming. All ropes specialists serve 5 meals per week and assist with daily cleaning and end of week cleaning. This is an outdoor position and you must be able to work in various elements of weather. Rifle Range Instructor
Rifle Range Instructor: spends 4 hours per day running our .22 Rifle Range. This person has great crowd control, is cheerful and does not mind the repetitiveness of instruction and commands. Manages our ammunition, firearms, safety equipment, and daily inspects and cleans equipment. This position is less physical and you are under a covered shooting range. All Rifle Range instructors assist with daily cleaning and end of week cleaning, serve 5 meals per week, and assist with high energy student programming to create an incredible camp experience for our guests. Zip Line Guide
Zip Line Guide: spends 4 hours per day harnessing and braking students on our 1000′ multi-line zip line. Responsible to inspect, set up/tear down equipment daily, and keep accurate inspection logs. This position is very physical and will require you to be able to climb 4 flights of stairs multiple times per day, pull friction blocks out by pulling ropes, and spend the day in various weather. All Zip Line Guides assist with daily cleaning and end of week cleaning, serve up to 5 meals per week, and assist with student programming to create an incredible camp experience for our guests. Slide Guide
Slide Guide: spends 4 hours per day and one evening overseeing our waterslide and newly constructed dry tubing hill. This person must be a great conversationalist, pay attention to details, implement water testing, and log daily chemical charts. This is a less physical job and requires a cheerful person to hang out with students. You must be able to physically walk up 4 flights of stairs multiple times per day. You will be working in various elements of weather. All Slide Guides assist with daily cleaning and end of week cleaning, serve up to 5 meals per week, and assist with student programming to create an incredible camp experience for our guests. Fat Bike Guide
Fat Bike Guide: Spends 4 hours per day instructing and leading a downhill fat bike run with up to 10 students. Equipment inspection, vehicle inspection, and activity set up are all part of your daily experience. Must be confident riding a bicycle, cheerful, and have good organization. This is a very physical job that requires loading and unloading up to 13, 25 pound bikes per hour onto a trailer. You will be working in various elements of weather. All Fat Bike Guides assist with daily cleaning and end of week cleaning, serve up to 5 meals per week, and assist with student programming to create an incredible camp experience for our guests. Slinger - Barista and Shaved Ice Tech
Slinger – Barista and Shaved Ice Tech: Spends 5 hours per day running our small snack bar or assisting in our coffee shop serving shaved ice, coffees, and selling merchandise. Must be extremely detailed in their work, work neatly, and be confident with counting change. You would be rotating through working early shifts prior to breakfast and late night shifts in the evenings at the coffee shop. Shaved ice is served during activity hours and in the evenings. Must be able to assist in managing inventory. This is, at times, a very fast paced indoor job. All Slingers assist with daily cleaning and end of week cleaning, serve up to 5 meals per week, and assist with student programming to create an incredible camp experience for our guests.
